Expanding Footprints -
Uganda to Burundi to ...
October 18, 2006
Since
August of 2005, EMM has continued to share the Gospel and minister to
the people of Uganda by bringing humanitarian aid, festivals, Bibles,
and by sending teams out to visit the people of local churches, schools,
hospitals, prisons, and orphanages to share the Gospel and God's love.
We have planted nine churches in Uganda and continue to guide, equip,
and train the local pastors.
By the grace of God, and with the
help of our faithful supporters and ministry team, we have been able to
touch the lives of people in Mbale, Iganga, Arua, and Kampala Uganda
forever.
Now, Eternity Minded Ministries
is expanding the footprints of our ministry to include Gitega, Burundi,
which is just south of Uganda. Eternity Minded Ministries has been
welcomed by the local Christian and government leaders and we have been
invited to bring our ministries to their people.
As a result of a long and brutal
civil war, the people of Burundi face immense challenges. The area of
Gitega Burundi is populated with approximately 320,000 people, of which
95,000 are returning refugees who still have no where to go to receive
basic human needs. They are desperate for relief, and in much need of
Jesus.
Carl Dawson is traveling to
Gitega from October 25th to the 29th to meet with local pastors and
local leaders in preparation for our upcoming festivals and ministries
beginning in February. Please pray for Carl as he travels, and for
the people of Gitega as the Lord prepares their hearts to receive Him.
We thank you for your continued prayers and financial support.
Together, we are truly making a difference to change a nation and the
world forever.
Blessings,
