Punchana Ministry Schedule
PRAYER REQUESTS FOR
IQUITOS PUNCHANA PERU MISSION
May 30, 2008
To the Faithful Members of the EMM Prayer
Shield:
Grace and peace to of you from our Lord, who
saves and protects each one of us.
As Eternity Minded Ministries ministry team
makes final preparations to leave for the
district of Punchana in Iquitos, Peru there
are some specific prayer needs that I'd like
to ask each of you to lift before the Lord.
Please lift Dan Owens in prayer as he speaks
during nearly twenty scheduled engagements
including training local pastors,
ministering to the team each morning, a
nearby military base, and three evening
festivals where he will be delivering the
Gospel message to thousands of people in the
district of Punchana. Recently Dan hurt his
back while moving some furniture. Praise the
Lord, Dan's back is healing nicely and he is
moving around quite well today. Please pray
for continued healing for Dan's back and
that he will be pain free.
For each member of the ministry team, I ask
that you pray for wisdom and alertness as
they prepare for the trip. Pray for travel
mercy as we all leave Sunday morning, so
that the plane reservations will all be
correct and that we will be able to make all
of our plane connections with time to
spare. Ask the Lord to send His angels
ahead of us to guard and protect each member
of the team and the families they leave
behind. May His angels stand guard over our
luggage so that it accompanies us on the
correct flights.
A couple of our team members are leaving for
this trip in the midst of difficult
times. Carl Dawson's sister Cheryl is
leaving during a stressful time at work. And
Linda Wellington has been dealing with some
health issues over the last several
weeks. Please lift Cheryl and Linda up
before the Lord of grace, that He will fill
them with His encouragement, wisdom,
compassion and strength to be able to
address each challenge as it comes.
In Punchana, pray for the Pastors Executive
Committee, their committee members and lay
helpers, all of whom have spent countless
hours working and praying so that this
festival will be an opportunity for many to
learn about Jesus and to welcome Him as Lord
of their lives. Ask the Lord to stand guard
over Carl Dawson and the local pastors who
even now are working tirelessly in Punchana
to make the festival a success, and for
their families and homes.
I ask each of you on the Prayer Shield to
lift all of us up in prayer during the time
we are in Punchana so that the Lord will
bless and anoint with His authority our
prayers and service in the schools,
hospitals, prison camps, military base and
churches. Pray that many will come to hear
about how Christ loves them and died for
them. Ask the Lord to reveal His power and
sovereign authority by healing many of those
who come for prayer.
May the forces of the evil one in Iquitos be
unable to influence those who serve and
those who come to hear. May the arrows of
the enemy fall short of their mark.
Please pray that all of the remaining funds
needed for both the festival and the
humanitarian aid for the children of
Punchana will come in so that EMM can
fulfill all that they have planned to do for
the people. We are grateful for the generous
gifts that have already been received, but
more is still needed. We are trusting that
the Lord will enable those He has called to
help us.
In the next 10 days, pray that the power of
the Kingdom of God will be revealed to the
people of Punchana in a mighty way, so that
lives will be changed forever. May the High
King Jesus receive the glory in all that we
do.
Thank you so much for your faithful prayers
and support.
